Universal Orlando is one of the most popular vacation destinations in Florida. Thousands of families around the globe visit Orlando throughout the year to get that one of a kind Universal Orlando experience. Of course, epic vacations like this can get expensive.
A great way to cut costs without missing out on quality or amenities is to choose a budget-friendly, onsite hotel option like Universal Endless Summer Resort.
Located just over a mile south of the Universal Orlando Resort main campus, Universal Endless Summer Resort is a quick commute via car or shuttle bus straight down Universal Blvd. It’s so close you could even walk to the parks which many hotel guests do.
Universal Endless Summer Resort is comprised of two properties: Surfside Inn & Suites and Dockside Inn & Suites.
This post will focus on my personal favorite of the two, Surfside Inn & Suites.
SURFSIDE INN & SUITES
Surfside Inn & Suites is located on the southwest corner of International Drive and Universal Blvd. It’s an ideal location as it’s close to I-4 and many points of interest like the Orange County Convention Center, popular restaurants, shopping centers and entertainment.
Surfside is approximately 22 minutes (15 miles) by car from Orlando International Airport. It has 750 rooms between two towers, including standard rooms and spacious two bedroom suites.

One of the biggest draws for Surfside is the affordability. Even with lower rates you still get a quality hotel experience with amazing amenities and perks.
Early Park Admission (EPA) is one of those perks. As a guest of Surfside you get to enter Universal Orlando parks one hour before the general public enters at regular park hours. With this advantage you get to experience attractions well before the crowds cause wait times to jump.

I have yet to stay at a value resort hotel that compares to Surfside. Honestly I can’t think of any that even comes close to the quality, beauty and amenities of Surfside.
Conveniently all hotel guests get complimentary round trip shuttle bus service to the theme parks. You won’t find many value resorts that offer amazing perks like this. If you know of any, please let me know where in the comments!
I prefer Surfside over Dockside for its smaller size and its quieter, walkable, and beautifully landscaped grounds.
The room decor is modern, bright and inviting, with decorative touches that showcase the hotel’s surf & beach theme. I would consider the decor minimal yet functional. This theme is maintained beautifully throughout the entire property from floor to ceiling.

Having stayed here multiple times over the years since its grand opening in 2019, I know for a fact that Surfside Inn & Suites lives up to the hype. It’s an excellent value for what you get and staying here is worth every penny.
